NAILBA-ACORD XML Life
Standards 2
Day Training Program In 1999, ACORD and NAILBA announced that they will work together to develop an XML-based standard for life insurance. The two groups worked actively together since that time developing and enhancing the XML standards to meet the needs of the NAILBA community. NAILBA has developed implementation guides documenting the requirements when implementing ACORD XML for communicating to the agencies. Furthermore, the NAILBA Technology Committee has formally requested that carriers convert from the existing NAILBA data standards to the ACORD XML standard. Not making this conversion is keeping agencies from obtaining more complete and timely information. This training class will
help ensure you can meet the request of the Technology Committee and make
the shift to ACORD XML as painless as possible. This training class
will break this standard into manageable pieces to ensure you obtain an
in-depth understanding of both the data structure (XMLife) and transaction
layer (TXLife). It emphasizes
the areas that the NAILBA community is looking to take immediate advantage
of, including new business processing (application upload and pending
status) and commission information. Use
for in-force processing will also be covered. Specific use cases demonstrating how to model real-life situations
will be utilized as the basis of this class. The relationship and mappings between the existing NAILBA feeds and
the XMLife will also be reviewed. The course is based on
the most recent official version of the standard published by ACORD to
date. Topics
