ACORD XML Training Program Options ACORD first introduced its ACORD XML for P&C standards in 2000. They have maintained backward compatibility since that time in the version 1.x series of the ACORD standard, expanding the scope with additional lines and message types. XML schemas have also become commonplace. As a result, ACORD's membership decided to address sizing issues with the standard as well as incorporate new schema features unavailable when the standard was first introduced. This gives us a new standard, '2.0'. It is in the process of being published, while 1.x is maintained simultaneously. Our training programs for ACORD XML for P&C address either standard - version 1.x or 2.0 as well as covering conversion issues for those who have already implemented 1.x and need to make the move to the latest.
